The German Light Horse Club was founded in 2023 by Colonel (GS, R) Christian Fuchs and Lieutenant Colonel (R) Claus Solbeck by merging the Officers’ Club „German Light Horse“ and the private members club „Belle Alliance 1815“.

Since 2025 the board has been joined by Major (R) Friederich Prince Eulenburg zu Hertefeld as vice chairman.

It very rapidly attracted like-minded officers who share a deep affinity for the traditions and the social style of the cavalry.

Today, the club brings together Officers and distinguished members from the fields of hunting and society from Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Belgium, Ireland, France, Bahrain and Southafrica.
